NEW PRODUCT : ALEXYS CALORIMETER
The AlexSys is a high-sensitivity Calvet calorimeter optimized for high temperature solution calorimetry in molten solvents at temperatures to 1000 °C. It is run isothermally to study heats of formation, reaction, and mixing. Transposed temperature drop calorimetry can also be performed to measure heat content, heats of phase transition and decomposition. The AlexSys is based on Prof. Alexandra Navrotsky’s (University of California - Davis) High Temperature Calorimeter which has many years of development, use, and application.

CALORIMETRY IN FOOD PROCESSING: ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF FOOD SYSTEMS
We are very pleased to introduce you " Calorimetry in Food Processing: Analysis and Design of Food Systems" edited by Gonul KALETUNC Table of Contents:Calorimetry in Food Processing: Analysis and Design of Food Systems introduces the basic principles of calorimetry and highlights various applications of calorimetry to characterize temperature-induced changes including starch gelatinization and crystallization, lipid transitions, protein denaturation, and inactivation of microorganisms in a variety of food and biological materials. Emphasis is given to the use of calorimetry as a tool for evaluation of processing requirements in order to assess the efficacy of food processing and for characterization of the effects of changes in formulation and processing conditions.

HEL Adiabatic Reaction Calorimeter – PHI-TEC I
HEL (Borehamwood, UK) has been the leader in adiabatic calorimetry for some time, and has combined with Setaram to offer a comprehensive product range to any Process Safety laboratory – form DSC, through to full vent size determination using Low Phi Factor Adiabatic Calorimetry (Phi-Tec I). Setaram will introduce the ALL NEW PHI-TEC I, which uses the well established adiabatic principles developed in by DOW for the original “ARC” with totally new mechanical design, increased sensitivity, extra operating modes and exceptional software. Combined with HEL’s experience in process hazards and Setaram’s unequalled reputation for customer support this is an unbeatable combination... See more in the following page
